Who and where?
Making it simple and to the point; my birthname is Sean Sindahl Nielsen, I was born in 1980 in a coastal city called Esbjerg in Denmark where I've lived all my life.

So, what's the story?
I'm not going to tell my life story here (not that it's even worth telling), but to those who might be interrested in a little background on how I ended up making the stuff I do, I have a little story to tell:
Once upon a time... about 21 years ago, I got sat infront of a Commodore 64 computer, played some games, and was instantly very intrigued by the music and sounds therein. As time went by I inevitably grew older and new technology was invented (not by me though), and the Amiga 500 made its way into my life. With a far more advanced sound-chip than the C64, my love and interrest for computer generated music inflated.

Eventually I stumbled across some music software; Octamed Pro, for the Amiga, and for the first time got to see 'behind the scenes' the music that I had been so fascinated by. With my chubby little hands I started experimenting, imitating and innovating with sounds and samples. In time my skills and understanding for musical composition in computer software evolved.

Time, of course, was still moving forward, and I with it (although a bit reluctant). As time passes, new things appear. Such as the PC and more advanced sound-chips, software, samples and whatnot. Being firmly into the "scene", it did not take me long to fire up my amazing lightspeed 56k modem and download the PC tracker software called Fast Tracker II. Woha, now I was rolling. But as with so many things, being stuck in the same rut, I got bored and looked for new horizons. By this time I had already been playing the guitar for many years, and even been in several local "for fun" bands.

That's when I experimented in going beyond sampled music making alone, and incorporated real recordings into the mix. At first, this was done by rigging up some drums on the Amiga, then recording that onto regular cassette tape, and finally plugging my guitar directly into my music stereo system's Mic Line-in. By playing the output of the Amiga while fretting the guitar, I could mix it all together on the tapes. Pretty primitive and cumbersome, but it worked. Soon enough I was doing this whole thing solely within the confines of the computer software (in due credit to getting full duplex sound cards), and from thereon progress just went ever forward, up to the day that is today.

I've come a long way since the days on the Amiga and dusty old cassette tapes. But the road extends into eternity. There is no end. The sound will never be perfect, the compositions and advance of the mix will always have room for improvement. But that's a good thing. It means the challenge will always have substanse in the many ways that is bedroom music making.
